Van Nicholas Direct has a 30-day return policy on accessory and clothing purchases, which means any returns and exchanges must be completed within 40 days of the original purchase date (10 day shipping grace). Returns will only be accepted if the product is returned in NEW CONDITION, WITH ORIGINAL PACKAGING. USED, WASHED, or DAMAGED CLOTHING IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN OR EXCHANGE. Consumers returning product that is not in new condition are not eligible for credits or refunds and will be responsible for any/all return shipping charges.

**Cash/check payments are refunded and credit card transactions are credited to the original account within 30 days of receiving the merchandise back in new condition.

Steps to return a product:

1. Return the product by traceable means with a copy of the receipt to:

3. Indicate why you are returning the product, and if you would like a refund or exchange.

Note: If you are exchanging a product be sure to include details of the exchange, return shipping instructions, and means of payment. Exchanges are processed and shipped out within 5 business days of receipt of your original package.

We here at Van Nicholas understand that not everyone has the convenience of seeing one of our bikes in a local bike shop. For this reason we have provided a risk free guarantee on a bike purchase from us directly. Customers have 10 days from the receipt of an Van Nicholas complete bicycle to determine their complete satisfaction. If you are not satisfied for any reason, we will rectify the problem or you may return the product in its original packaging. Van Nicholas will issue a complete refund including reimbursement of return UPS ground shipping charges. This policy eliminates ALL potential purchasing risk to the consumer.

**Cash/check payments are refunded and credit card transactions are credited to the original account within 30 days of receiving the merchandise back in new condition. Bicycles not returned in new condition will be subject to a 10% restocking fee. Frame purchases are limited to refund of product cost only and are not eligible refund of shipping costs.

Van Nicholas guarantees and insures every shipment. Many companies put the burden of lost or damaged shipments on the consumer. All packages are our responsibility until the customer receives them in good condition.

To protect consumers' investment further, if an Van Nicholas titanium frame is damaged and is not covered by our manufacturer warranty, Van Nicholas will provide a replacement frame for 50% of current retail. This additional warranty is for individuals who have damaged their frame due to crashes or accidents. No dealer wholesale; this program deals directly with the consumer. Dealers can charge for labor to swap parts from the damaged frame to the replacement.

Van Nicholas's complete bicycles are custom in nature. If after a purchase your position on the bike is not comfortable, you may modify your position. This guarantee is directed at modifying stem length or rise, and is not applicable to all components. This guarantee is applicable during the first 60 days of ownership. After the first 60 days, replacements will be done at Van Nicholas's discretion; all shipping charges are the customer's responsibility.

Anytime during the first 60 days of ownership a customer may order a replacement stem online or with the assistance of an Van Nicholas sales representative by calling +31 (0)186-657718. It is necessary for Van Nicholas to charge a deposit for each stem ordered. This deposit is fully refundable if the swapped stem is returned in good condition within 30 days of receipt. The customer is also responsible for shipping charges both ways.

Van Nicholas will replace (NOT repair) any frame that fails due to manufacturer defects in materials or workmanship.

• Van Nicholas Titanium frames for the Lifetime of the frame;
• Van Nicholas (VNT) branded components for 1 year from date of original retail purchase;

Any components not produced by Van Nicholas bear their manufacturer's own warranty. Any claims must be directed to said manufacturer's customer service department. Most companies have chosen to repair products that fail; this process however does not re-instill confidence in the product or company. This warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser according to the following conditions and limitations.

Time Period:

Warranty coverage on the bicycle frame extends for the life of the bicycle frame, while owned by the original retail purchaser. Warranty coverage on any bicycle components purchased through Van Nicholas while owned by the original retail purchasers will be covered by the warranty stated by their original manufacturers. This warranty does not cover:

Cosmetic or structural damage arising from abuse or misuse including but not limited to damage caused by crashes or collisions, owner neglect, improper installation and/or assembly, improper maintenance, alterations, modifications, additions, changes to the original product, or other excessive, improper or abnormal conditions. Wear from normal use or environmental exposure IS NOT covered by this warranty. Any damage, failure or loss caused by accident, misuse, neglect, abuse, failure to follow instructions or warnings in owners manual. Any damage, failure or loss caused by use of bicycles for stunt riding, ramp jumping, acrobatics or other similar activities, or in any other manner for which they were not designed. Bending of frames, forks, handlebars, seat posts or wheel rims can be a sign of misuse or abuse.

Limitations:

• Proof of purchase from Van Nicholas or an authorized Van Nicholas dealer is required for any limited warranty replacement or crash replacement program. (Not withstanding Warranty Re-certification as outlined below).
• Warranty offers no cash refunds.
• In the event Van Nicholas replaces a defective frame, a new frame of equal or greater value will be provided. The new frame may not be the exact model purchased, as warranty frame replacement is limited to Van Nicholas's current stock and model assortment on hand at the time of warranty.
• The foregoing warranties are in lieu of and exclude all other warranties not expressly set forth herein, whether express or implied by operation of law or otherwise, including but not limited to any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
• Van Nicholas shall in no event be liable for incidental or consequential losses, damages or expenses in connection with its bicycle products. Van Nicholas's liability hereunder is expressly limited to the replacement of goods not complying with this warranty.
• Some countries or states do not permit the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or consequential damages, so the preceding limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

Procedures:

Warranty service will be performed by Van Nicholas or an Van Nicholas authorized dealer. Proof of purchase must be provided. Transportation to and from the Van Nicholas authorized dealer is the responsibility of the purchaser.

If you elect to repair a defective product yourself or use the services of someone other than an Van Nicholas authorized dealer, Van Nicholas will not be liable for any damage, failure or loss caused by the use of such unauthorized service or parts.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which may vary from state to state.

Because of the dynamic nature of our products, pricing can and does change regularly due to fluctuations in currencies and supplies. If our online prices decrease more than $50.00 within 30-days of your purchase, Van Nicholas will refund the difference between the price you paid and the current cost of the same product. It is the consumer's responsibility to request a refund if applicable.

In the occurrence of a frame warranty, the consumer is traditionally liable for all related expenses of component transfer from old frame to new. Van Nicholas is so confident in our products and commitment to the highest level of customer service that we will cover all applicable expenses up to $75/€100 if the warranty is processed through an Authorized Van Nicholas Dealer. Van Nicholas will issue a purchase credit to the Authorized Van Nicholas Dealer processing the warranty.

The majority of bicycle manufacturers warranties are only effective for the lifetime of the original owner. Traditionally this standard is used to decrease product liability risks involved in "used" bike sales from consumer to consumer. Van Nicholas now introduces a Titanium Frame Warranty Re-Certification Program, whereby consumers who are looking to sell or purchase a used Van Nicholas titanium bicycle or frame can send it directly to our office. Van Nicholas will inspect the frame for any potential damage or problems and ship the product back to the consumer with a new manufacturer's warranty. This is to be done by having the original owner send the bike to our office. This policy is to protect the second hand buyer against purchasing a damaged frame. Re-certification cost is $150/EUR€125. This fee includes return shipping charges.
