TRANS-ALP CHALLENGE

Six days. 14,000 metres of climbing. Crossing the Alps. Cycling challenges don't come much tougher than this. But raising funds for the children's cancer charity Kika is a cause worth any amount of hardship.
Between May 29 and June 3, Jan-Willem and four of his equally cycling mad friends have decided to follow in the footsteps of Julius Caesar and Hannibal and cross one of the most awe-inspiring mountain ranges in the world. No elephants for these intrepid adventures though - they'll be tackling this unforgiving terrain on mountain bikes. In 1990 German Ulricht Stanciu was the first person to make the attempt and since then then it has been recognised as one of the toughest mountain biking trails in the world. But then it wouldn't be a challange if it was easy, would it?!
If you're interested in making a donation, please www.transalp4kika.nl. Kika is a charity that provides essential support to child cancer sufferers and their families, we couldn't think of a more deserving organisation and Van Nicholas is proud to be doing everything we can to help. Please give generously!
